Clonmacnoise is a sixth century monastic site, within the heart of Ireland, along the River Shannon. It is home to three high crosses, a cathedral, two round towers and seven churches. It is also the birthplace of whiskey, dating back over 6000 years ago.
Whiskey was one of many remarkable discoveries from this extraordinary place. Clonmacnoise was a major centre of religion, learning, craftsmanship and trade, providing much of Ireland’s finest Celtic art and illuminated manuscripts. Seven Churches Whiskey seeks to keep the spirit of this momentous place alive.
